HORROR SHOW: Man Walks Into a School and Strangles Student in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the apprehension of a man identified as Oke Loya for the alleged murder of 17-year-old Timibra Meretighan in Arogbo, a community within the Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.According to reports gathered by PUNCH Metro, the tragic incident occurred on Monday when the victim, a pupil at Ijaw National High School, was in the midst of writing an examination alongside his classmates. The suspect abruptly stormed the school premises, instigating chaos as he chased the pupils out of their classroom.Eyewitnesses claim that during the chaotic chase, the assailant reportedly strangled the defenseless teenager, ultimately leading to his untimely demise.Upon learning of the distressing incident, the school’s principal promptly made his way to the nearest police station to report the matter. Subsequently, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the suspect’s arrest and assured that an investigation into the incident is underway.Providing further details, Odunlami stated, “The Principal of Ijaw National High School visited the station on Monday and reported that a 27-year-old man named Oke Loya, who sought shelter at the school’s security gate during the rain, allegedly strangled 17-year-old Meretighan Timibra from Arogbo Ibe. The suspect claims that the students referred to him as a madman. He has been apprehended and is currently in custody.”The tragic loss of young Timibra Meretighan has sent shockwaves throughout the community, as residents and authorities alike grapple with the horrifying nature of the incident.
