A distressing case of alleged sexual abuse has come to light in Solotan Estate, Laderin, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The victim, a young woman, has accused her father of continuously demanding and coercing her into sexual activity within their family home.The victim claims that these disturbing demands began immediately after her mother’s divorce from the accused. The situation has raised concerns about the victim’s well-being and the nature of the alleged abuse she has endured.Following her harrowing experience, the victim reported the matter to the Ogun State Social Orientation and Safety Corps, who subsequently escalated the case to the nearest police station. As a result, the father was taken into custody.During the police interrogation, the accused father vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that his daughter was fabricating the story to cover up her own wayward behavior. He claimed to have chastised her for her alleged promiscuity, casting doubt on the veracity of her claims.Omolola Odutola, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and assured the public that an ongoing investigation is underway. She stated that the father is currently in custody, and a preliminary investigation has been initiated. Both parties involved will be transported to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a more comprehensive and discreet examination of the matter.This case underscores the necessity of a diligent and impartial investigation when faced with serious allegations of abuse, as the authorities work to uncover the truth.
