According to a statement released by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami on Saturday, troops from Operation Whirl Stroke successfully raided a weapon fabrication factory in Wukari, Taraba State. Acting on credible intelligence, the troops apprehended two suspected gunrunners and recovered a cache of weapons.During the operation, which took place on Friday, the troops recovered two GPMGs, four AK-47 rifles, one KPM, three pistols, one PKT, five 9mm ammunitions, two 7.63 x 54 ammunitions, seven rifle butts, and various parts of different rifles. The arrested individuals, recovered weapons, and ammunition were subsequently handed over to appropriate authorities for further action.The military high command has commended the troops of Operation Whirl Stroke for their successful operation and has urged the general public to provide credible and timely information on terrorist and criminal activities within their area.
