The suspect, known as Obidiah, was taken into custody following an incident that occurred at a residence on Ojike Street in the Mile 1 area.According to a reliable source within the community, the accused bouncer dispatched the young girl to purchase a mobile phone recharge card on his behalf. Upon the girl’s return, Obidiah allegedly instructed her to bring the recharge card into his room. Once inside, he locked the door and turned up the volume on his radio to drown out any potential sounds.Tragically, it was during this time that the suspect is said to have forced himself upon the unsuspecting minor. The appalling act of sexual assault came to light when a fellow tenant noticed the girl’s prolonged absence from the room and questioned her about it.In a courageous move, the young victim revealed the horrific ordeal she had endured to the concerned co-tenant, who wasted no time in alerting the authorities at the Mile 1 Police Division.
