APC Chairman Abducted by Gunmen in Ekiti State: A Shocking Twist in Political Turmoil
APC Chairman in Ekiti State, Mr. Paul Omotoso, has been forcibly taken captive by unidentified gunmen, according to reliable sources. The incident occurred on Saturday evening while Omotoso was traveling along Agbado Ekiti-Imesi Ekiti Road.Confirming the incident, Segun Dipe, the APC State Publicity Secretary, stated that the state party chairman was driving his vehicle along the Agbaso-Imesi Road when the abduction took place. Dipe revealed that armed assailants targeted Omotoso’s Venza car, firing at one of its tires. Subsequently, they swiftly transferred him into a Toyota Hilux van before making a swift departure. It is important to note that Omotoso was alone in his vehicle during the incident, based on the information available to us.Dipe further informed, “The occurrence transpired during the evening hours, and we were notified around 6 pm. The security agencies, including the police and Amotekun, have been promptly informed and are actively engaged in addressing the situation,” assured the APC spokesperson.Upon contacting the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Command, Sunday Abutu, he expressed his intention to provide confirmation as soon as possible.
