Calls for Harmony: Ifa Priest Elebuibon Appeals for Unity and Peace Amid Tani Olohun’s Case Involving Muslims and Isese Adherents

Prominent Ifa Priest, Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, has issued a fervent appeal to both Kwara’s Muslim community and devotees of the Isese tradition, urging for a climate of serenity to envelop the ongoing legal proceedings involving the activist Adegbola Abdulazeez, known as Tani Olohun. The detainment of Abdulazeez on August 16 in Ibadan, followed by his subsequent transfer to the Kwara State Police Command, stems from alleged acts of disrespect directed towards Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, and several influential Muslim scholars.Elebuibon, respected for his position in the traditional Yoruba spiritual sphere, delivered a heartfelt plea, urging followers of both faiths to rally behind the cause of peace. Stressing the paramount significance of securing Abdulazeez’s liberation, he asserted, “I take this opportunity to earnestly implore the Isese adherents, particularly the youth, to foster an environment of tranquility with regards to this intricate case.”He went on to assert, “It is incumbent upon us all to collaborate towards ensuring his emancipation, an endeavor that stands as pivotal in this juncture. Furthermore, I extend my entreaty to the Muslim populace of Ilorin, echoing the sentiment that as Yoruba, we share a common heritage. Let harmonious currents flow, for we encountered the embrace of peace upon our earthly sojourn; let that harmony persevere.”Drawing from his spiritual perspective, Elebuibon concluded, invoking, “In the venerable name of Olodumare, the divine Creator, I beseech one and all to maintain a composed disposition, allowing the balm of tranquility to reign supreme.”
